The FACT (Families and Communities Together) Committee of Tuscarawas County
Family & Children First is working with ECO ESC and Kent State Tuscarawas to
hold a Bully Proofing Youth-a bullying prevention training with presenter
Jim Bisenius.  This training will be October 19, 2010 at Kent State
Tuscarawas and will consist of two sessions.  The first session for
professionals will be from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The second session for
parents will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Free Conference for Parents of Children with Disabilities

Located at:  Cambridge High School, 1401 Deerpath Drive, Cambridge

The conference sessions will be presented by topic experts, including keynote speaker Margaret Burley, Executive Director of The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with  Disabilities.

As their childs first and most important teacher, parents are central to a childs successful development.  This conference will give parents and family members as well as advocates, self-advocates, educators and other professionals and community members practical ideas on IEP plans, how to address challenging behaviors, ways to enhance early literacy development, transition, and so much more!

Free continental breakfast and lunch is included in the conference registration.  Stay all day or just register for a few sessions!
