Academic Challenge Team

On December 7th, the Academic Challenge Team traveled to News Channel 5 in Cleveland to compete on the show “Academic Challenge.” Team members competing were (L-R) Austin Gano, Daniel Russell, and Sarah Romer. The two schools they competed against were Crestview and Pymantuning Valley. With a final score of 430 points, Newcomerstown emerged victorious! The win qualifies the Academic Challenge Team for a high score in the Academic Challenge season. If their score of 430 points places them within the top ten of all schools competing, the Academic Challenge Program will award NHS $1,500 dollars. The program will air on March 11, 2017 on Channel 5. Congratulations Academic Challenge Team!
