Congratulations to Mitchell Moore, who graduated from Newcomerstown High School in the class of 2009.  Unfortunately Mitchell could not attend our commencement ceremonies since he was recruited into the Marines.  His recruiting officers came to school on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, and on May 28, 2009 Mitchell left for Boot Camp with the US Marines to Paris Island, South Carolina.  He will return to Newcomerstown on August 20, 2009.  He will be able to stay for 10 days before leaving, again, to further his education in Auto Technology.  (Mitchell attended Buckeye Career Center where he learned Auto Tech.)  His base location is to be determined upon completion of Boot Camp.  He is the son of Jackie and Hoss Robinson, and Todd Moore-all of Newcomerstown.  "We are very proud of Mitchell.  For the last couple of years he has always dreamed of being a Marine. Now, he has his dream come true," Jackie, his mother stated.  "I am very proud of Mitchell that he aspired to be a Marine and wish him good luck in this new chapter of his life," Tim Sherman, principal of Newcomerstown High School stated.
