5th grade- Noel Blind
The 5th Grade Team is honored to nominate Noel Rosemary Blind as our November Student of the Month. There is not a child in our school who has more love or adoration for the people that surround her. She comes to school daily with a smile on her face and a hug for anyone that needs one. She genuinely cares for those around her. She considers every person at West School, child or adult, to be a friend. When someone is down or upset, Noel will be the first one to check on that person and make sure an adult is aware. In class, Noel pays attention, participates accordingly, and sets a good example of hard work and perseverance. Congratulations, Noel, you are more than deserving of this recognition.
4th grade- Garrett McCoun
Joy is how the 4th grade team describes our November Student of the Month. This student comes to school with a smile on his face and is ready to learn everyday. He strives to do his best with all that he does. He doesn't know a stranger and is willing to help or work with any other student in the class. He is the type of student that all other students should want to model or be like. This student has an old soul and is patient with his peers. His kindness exuberates from his heart and mind always. The 4th grade student of the month is Garrett McCoun. Congratulations Garrett!!
Miss Lefler- Ava Amore
When we think of all of the things that make this world a better place, we think of people who spread joy and love to others. These are the people who enter rooms or buildings and cause others to smile just by their presence. That is what Miss Lefler's November Student of the Month does every day. Ava Amore is a friend to everyone. Quick to stand up for what is right, Ava is every bit as ready to comfort someone who is hurting. She is always seeking out ways to interact with others - staff and students alike - that will bring a smile to their faces. Ava cheers on others, reminds them to do their best, and helps out when she is able. She is always thinking win-win. Ava has also strived to be more independent in all areas. No matter if it takes her one, five, or twenty times to learn a concept, she doesn't quit. With some encouragement, she keeps trying. She often does it all with a smile or at least a funny joke. Ava makes our community, district, building, and classroom all better places. Her joy and love for life and others are infectious. She makes us all so proud, not just for her accomplishments but because of the amount of effort she puts into everything. We are truly blessed to be her teachers and hope that she keeps up the GREAT work no matter where life leads her. Thank you, Ava, for making West School and our classroom the best it can be!
