April Student of the Month- 4th grade
When you look up the definition of hardwork in the dictionary, this student's picture should be right there next to the definition. This student is always paying attention and doing her best each day in class. She has a smile on her face for each person she comes across, and she is friends with everyone. Although she often has a soft voice, when she does speak, everyone is listening. This student brings kindness and joy daily to our school and to our community. She embodies what it means to be a model student and person. The 4th grade team would like to honor and recognize Kelsey McDonald as our April student of the month this school year. This student is a team player and will do what he needs to help any group he is part of. He is creative and thoughtful. He is willing to step out of his comfort zone to try new things. April Student of the Month- 5th grade
The 5th grade team is honored to nominate Daniel Zduncyk as our April student of the month. Daniel's kind demeanor and grateful attitude have been constant since his first day in our classrooms. He will often be the first to notice when a task needs to be completed and doesn't hesitate to volunteer. He is kind and respectful to both the students and adults at West. One of our favorite traits of Daniel is that he sees the value in his peers. While many see every game and activity as a competition that needs to be won, Daniel has the mindset that everyone can win and succeed. He is the first to congratulate a classmate over any victory, large or small. Congratulations, Daniel. Keep spreading your positivity and showing others what it means to put others before yourself.
