October Students of the Month
October Student of the Month- Miss Lefler
Miss Lefler's October Student of the Month is one of the most incredible kids you will ever meet. He has a smile that lights up any room, a sense of humor that makes others laugh, and a kindness that exceeds words. He works hard to read and complete math tasks given to him. He interacts with others in a positive way. He is creative! He comes to school every day excited and ready to learn. And, beyond all of this, he always extends love to those around him as he continues to learn to communicate with others and be a team player. He makes teaching and being at school fun. We know that he has a bright future ahead of him and are so grateful we get to be a part of it. Miss Lefler's October Student of the Month is Dawson Bunting. Great job Dawson!
October Student of the Month- 2nd grade
Mrs. Olinger has selected Haddie Jones for Student of the Month! Haddie is a very hard working student. She is always doing her very best and striving to learn more. She always jumps in to help her classmates and teachers with whatever is needed. She is a great friend and is encouraging and supportive of her classmates. Way to go Haddie!
October Student of the Month- 3rd grade
Mrs. Miller is delighted to recommend Tyson Brady as the October Student of the Month. Tyson comes to school each day with a smile on his face and a positive attitude that brightens the classroom. He is a student who truly “puts first things first,” consistently demonstrating responsibility and dedication to his learning.
Each morning, Tyson arrives ready to take an AR test, showing his motivation and commitment to reaching his goals. In fact, he went above and beyond by doubling his AR goal during the first quarter — an impressive achievement! Tyson always completes his work neatly and on time, and he eagerly participates in class discussion.
Tyson is a wonderful student to have in class, and his hard work and positive spirit make him a true role model for his peers. Congratulations, Tyson!

October Student of the Month- 5th grade
It is with immense pleasure and without hesitation that the 5th grade nominates our October Student of the Month.
We are constantly impressed by this student’s proactive attitude during her classes. She continuously steps up and steps in to help others in her gentle manner. She cares deeply for her classmates, fostering a supportive environment in our classrooms. Her positive attitude is contagious, much like her smile! She contributes her original ideas and creative problem-solving in class and especially when helping with preschoolers.
She perseveres through challenging tasks. However, she is not too timid about asking for help if she gets stuck. She is a shining example of an exemplary student! Congratulations, Rakayla Welsh! We are so proud to have you at West!
