NHS students traveled to learn about Newark Electrical’s JATC Apprenticeship opportunity today. After learning about the vast career opportunities available, they put their gloves on to wire a circuit and bend conduits of their own. NHS sophomore Colton Rose received the Overcoming Obstacles Award last night at Dover HS with other area students. Colton was joined by his family, teachers, and admins as well. Congrats, Colton! Thank You to the Newcomerstown staff and community for helping Teen Leadership with this year's Pop Tab collection. We were able to collect 40 pounds of Pop Tabs that will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. The person that donated the most tabs was Mr. Chris Lipinski with 13.4 pounds! Mr. Lipinski has graciously donated his prize, a $50 Texas Roadhouse Gift Card to another individual. THANK YOU!

The NHS Teen Leadership held its first High School Easter Egg Hunt prior to Spring Break. Students were tasked with finding eggs hidden around the school for candy and to be entered into a drawing. Teen Leadership also hid a GOLDEN EGG each day for a chance to win a gift card. Congratulations to our Golden Egg and Drawing Winners!

Tomorrow, Thurs (5/1), is the last End of Course test day (Math). All non-testers may report on a two-hour delay. Students from Ms. Casteel's class took part in Track/Field Day at Kids America recently and came back with many smiles, stories, and ribbons! March might be over, but the madness is still going on! We are extending the collection of Pop Tabs until next TUESDAY, April 8th! The person that brings in the most pounds of Pop Tabs will receive a $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse compliments of Teen Leadership.
Currently the most pounds of Pop Tabs dropped off is..........9.7 pounds!
If you need pop tabs picked up please let Mr. Kennedy know and he will send a student to gather them up, otherwise drop them off at the High School with your name and phone number on them.
All tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
