On May 19th at 6:00 PM, there will be a meeting for students interested in playing football next year, who will be in grades 7 -12. This mandatory meeting is for parents as well as athletes, and will be in the NHS gym.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 15th, is "Walk or Bike to School Day" for interested NMS students. IF your child returned the completed permission form by the deadline, he/she can participate. This is an optional event that some students wanted to participate in.


Otherwise, students will walk to or be dropped off at NMS as usual. There will be no PARKING in our back parking lot tomorrow, due to our "PBIS End of Testing Carnival" event, but student drop-off remains the same. Sorry for the confusion on the form.

8th Grade Graduation

Dear Parents,
NMS 8th Grade Graduation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026.

We ask that families not arrive before 12:45 PM, as we will still be in the middle of lunch for our students. You may park in the Mediwise parking lot or the lot behind the Middle School, but everyone must enter through the main entrance door across from Mediwise (Door #3, which faces River Street).

Graduation will begin promptly at 1 PM. If you need accessible seating, please contact the NMS office so we can reserve seats in the bottom row for you.

8th Grade Grad Dinner and Dance will be from 6-9 PM on Friday, May 22. This event is free and open only to NMS 8th-grade students. Students will enter through the cafeteria doors. Once they arrive, students may not leave before 9 PM unless a parent picks them up at the door and a staff member checks the parental ID. Students are encouraged to dress comfortably, adhere to school-appropriate attire, and are also welcome to follow the "Arabian Nights" theme.

WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP INFORMATION

An informational meeting for all adult chaperones for the DC trip will be held next Wednesday, April 29th @ 6:00 PM in the NMS auditorium.

Also, the final payment for the Washington D.C. trip was due Friday, April 17th.

Just a reminder that our 6th-grade campers should be returning to NMS about 1:15 today, and will be able to head home with parents (or designated person) at that time! Students will be released from the cafeteria, so parking in the back parking lot is recommended.
