As of August 1st, our NMS office is now open for the new school year. Here is the district calendar for Newcomerstown Schools for the 2025-2026 school year. Additionally, here are some important upcoming dates for NMS students and parents.

Parents of NMS 8th grade students,
If your child participated in the recent Stoller fundraiser (butter braids, etc.), the scheduled delivery date for items sold will be this Thursday, April 3rd. Please make arrangements to pick up your student’s order that day between 2:45-3:45 PM, in the NMS cafeteria. Keep in mind that these products need to be kept frozen, and therefore MUST be picked up at that date and time.
Our 6th grade campers are on their way back to NMS, and will be ready for pickup at 1:15PM!

COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS FOR THE 2025/26 SCHOOL YEAR,
FOR STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 9-12

During our PBIS Morning Meeting on Friday, February 7th, the students in these photos were recognized.
Hanna Camburn won the monthly Trojan Pride Reward ticket drawing, earning her $10. Hanna was also one of the Handle Hard Better Award winners, along with Daxxon Muhs and Nia Xiao. Pyper Eckelberry and Luke Shalosky were honored as NMS Students of the Month for January and February, respectively. Way to go, sixth graders!


These 6th graders were recognized during our PBIS Morning Meeting on Friday, March 7th.
On the left is Addison Stout, who received the Handle Hard Better Award, and on the right is our NMS 6th grade Student of the Month for March, Ashtyn Patterson. Congratulations, students!

Parents of NMS 6th grade students . . . The first payment for sixth grade camp and all camp paperwork are due tomorrow, Friday, February 7, 2025.
Thanks to a grant through the Ohio Arts Council, some of our students and staff members will have the opportunity to attend this exciting, educational event at the Kent State University Performing Arts Center in February!

The parent meeting for the 6th grade camp trip will be held this Wednesday, January 29th, at 6pm in the NMS auditorium.
Youth Volleyball season is right around the corner! Any 4th, 5th or 6th grade student interested in playing - there is a mandatory parent meeting/sign up tonight, Monday, January 27th at 6:30PM in the NHS cafeteria.
For all NEW CCP students...
If your student is interested in joining our College Credit Plus (CCP) program, a CCP Informational Meeting must be attended by the student and a parent/guardian. This meeting at Dover is a great option. Mark your calendars! Respect. Excellence. Pride. Go Trojans!
