First Day of School All Call: Please forgive the long message! This is what the All Call was about- important first day of school info:
The first day of school for students is tomorrow, Thursday, August 20th. Students should not arrive before 7:45 am. Our doors do not open until 7:45.
Students may come in the front doors on Beaver Street or the back doors off the back parking lot where the buses drop students off (next to the Art Room). All other doors will be locked. Only these two entrances will be open for students to enter the building.
We ask that parents do not come into the building and walk their child to their classrooms. Staff members will be out in the hallways to help students find their way. As part of our school safety plan- parents are permitted in the building only if they have signed in at the office and picked up a visitor’s badge.
Please do not park in the loop in front of the school. This is a drop off lane only. If you are walking your child to the front door or coming into the office- please park in one of the parking spaces or on Beaver Street. The front loop is clearly marked No Parking.
Also if you are picking up your student after school and parking on Beaver Street- please make sure NOT to block anyone’s driveway with your parked car.
Drop off and pick up is always a busy time at West School. We have the most students out of all the buildings in our district. Your help with not parking in the drop off lane and being cautious at pick up time will help make things run smoother.
All students need to report to the cafeteria when they arrive at school. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria until 8:10am. The tardy bell rings at 8:15am so please make sure students are at school by 8:15.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year.

Open House will be Tuesday, August 18 from 5-6pm! Students and their families are invited to come and meet their teachers and see their classrooms for the upcoming school year. We will have local agencies set up in the gym with information as well as a food truck in the back parking lot. Families are welcome to purchase food and eat in the cafeteria if they wish. We are looking forward to another great year!

West School students had a blast at the AR Celebration today! We earned 12,000 AR points as a building to earn the celebration. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped run stations! An event like this wouldn't be possible without your help!
We have yearbooks still available! They are $20 and can be purchased in the office.
We had 87 Goal Crushers who tripled their A.R. goals during the fourth nine weeks. They earned a bowling trip to Cy Young Lanes today. Way to go!

Tomorrow is our Kid Vendor market from 2-5pm in the West School cafeteria! Students in our after school L.E.A.D. program have created a variety of products: bracelets, earrings, food, candy, 3-D art, lip gloss, body spray, soap and more! A portion of their sales will support a service learning project. West School students will have an opportunity to attend during the school day and can bring money to spend at the market if they wish. All items are priced between $1 and $5. Family, friends and community members are also invited and welcome to attend!
We have yearbooks! If you would like to purchase a yearbook for this school year- they are available in the office for $20 each. Please call or stop by to get yours! The yearbook is for both East and West Schools.
Biddy Track Meet this Sunday, April 26th!
These items are currently in our lost & found. Students can claim their items in the library or outside of the cafeteria.

Online stores remain open through the weekend for last minute sales, closing on Sunday, 4/19!
The online store also has additional products not shown in the brochure, such as pizza cupcakes! Online also gives families the ability to order Meal Deal Codes that can be used at local Little Caesar's stores! These are emailed directly to the buyer and are valid for 365 days!
Delivery will be the week of 5/4 — exact date given when we submit final orders.
