NMS 6th grade student Colton Durben participated in the Ohio Elks Association state soccer shoot in Norwalk, Ohio on Saturday, November 2, 2024, and he finished in 2nd place for the U14 age group! ⚽️ CONGRATULATIONS, COLTON!!!

On Monday, October 21, 2024, two NMS students graciously donated their family's 3D printer to our school (Ms. McVey's Gateway class, in particular). The printer is a Flashforge Adventurer 3. It is most commonly used in the home as an entry-level printer, to begin learning 3d printing. 3D printing is a fun way to produce creative work, and in Gateway class, students are able to use this amazing technology to make their imaginations come to life. The end of the first nine week grading period is this Friday, October 18th. NMS report cards will be sent home with students the following Friday, October 25th.

NMS students will be bringing these Walnut Creek flyers and order forms home tomorrow, Thursday, October 10th. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used toward student incentives and awards, NOT field trips. Prices are as follows: Cinnamon Rolls - $10:00, Fruit Pies - $20.00, Cream Pies - $18.00. All orders and money are due November 4th, 2024. LET US HELP YOU WITH YOUR THANKSGIVING DESSERTS!

We will be organizing a collection drive here at NMS for anyone who is interested in donating. Please have all items to us by October 16th, so we can then deliver everything to the Newcomerstown Public Library on the 17th. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Just a reminder that our parent meeting for the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip is scheduled for tomorrow evening (Wednesday, September 25th) at 6:00 PM in the NMS auditorium.

Our NMS Cross Country team competed in a small school invitational at Philo on Saturday, September 14th. It was their first time competing on this course, and they put up some pretty good times, coming home with medals! Great job, runners!
